ISES UK 2012 

This conference will be doubly special – it takes place in Olympic year in the UK and marks the tenth anniversary since Equitation Science was first recognised as a field of study. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION – DEADLINE 16 MARCH 2012

The abstract submission system is now open.  Please submit your Abstract by 16 March 2012.  Click on the link  'Submit abstract' which will take you to the online submission system where you will asked to register.  You will then receive a confirmation email with abstract template and submission instructions

PROGRAMME

The conference theme, 'Equitation Science - The Road Ahead', will showcase how equitation science has developed as a discipline to provide an international forum in which scientists and professional practitioners can communicate and discuss the results of research related to training, management and the performance of the horse. Equitation science involves high quality translational research aiming to improve horse welfare through the application of scientific principles addressing all areas of equitation including the horse and the handler/rider/driver/trainer.

This conference will follow the usual format, with two days of talks and discussions and a practical day. This year we have a unique slant with the inclusion of carriage driving as an equestrian discipline within the practical session.

SATELLITE MEETING

Workshop:  The Road Ahead…in the lab

This workshop for senior researchers in Equitation Science is designed to help us all reach some consensus on measurement tools and experimental design in equitation science.  Limited to 30 places.  Preference will be give to ISES members who are attending the conference. Please apply via the conference registration form.

REGISTRATION

Register by 31 March 2012 to take advantage of the discounted rate.  All delegates welcome to the registration and wine reception on Tuesday 17 July.  Special discounted fee for ISES student members - limited places apply by 31 March.
